What is GħSL?
GħSL or Għaqda Studenti Tal-Liġi is a faculty-based non-profit organisation at the University of Malta that represents all law students within the Faculty of Laws. GħSL was set up in 1943 hence, this year marks GħSL’s 75th year on campus. From live-ins to moot courts and international competitions, GħSL offers law students plenty of opportunities to learn, practice and socialise, as well as to get involved within the association. Both prospective and current students have access through GħSL to the Online Law Journal, Id-Dritt and may purchase notes and past-papers from their website.

What is GħSL planning for the coming term?
With the help of our newly appointed executive members, our main focus this year is to grow further socially, academically as well as internationally. We are already hard at work and are excited about what is to come. Expect a jam-packed year comprising of our yearly staple as well as fresh new ideas.
What is your main focus?
Our main focus has always been and will always be the student. How are we going to facilitate a students life at University? What can be done to better relations between students and faculty? What can be done in order to ascertain that a student enjoys his or her years on campus? The student has always been our main focus and will remain so.
Do you have any major events in mind?
We have recently returned from Washington D.C whereby together with two law students GħSL
has participated for the first time in a Jessup Moot Court Competition. We have also just won Kokka Internazzjonali from KSU for giving students the opportunity to participate in an event like this. This year we aim to improve our calendar of events by collaborating with different entities, student organisations and our Faculty in order to offer the best opportunities to the students we represent.
Would you have any advice for students entering the law course?
Get Involved. Get yourself involved in organisations, they give you a sense of purpose in your
University life and give you soft skills beneficial for the future. Furthermore, forming part of an
organisation facilitates your years at the university through the people you will meet and the skills you will learn. Should you wish to get involved in one of our committees feel free to contact one of our executive members or our Facebook page.
