In a presentation this afternoon, Studenti Demokristjani Maltin (SDM) launched their team of 11 candidates for the upcoming legislature of the Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU).
The candidates are as follows:
Robert Napier – President
Steve Zammit Lupi – Vice President
Carla Galea – Secretary General
Joseph Teuma – Financial Officer
Michael Aquilina – Public Relations Officer
Gillian Asciak – Education Officer
Celine Talbot – Social Policy Officer
Harley Mallia – Culture and Entertainment Office
Luke Abela – Culture and Entertainment Office
Martina Darmanin – International Office
Anthea Fenech – International Office
In his opening address on SDM’s manifesto, the organisation president Gabriel Micallef affirmed SDM’s commitment towards what the students wanted;
“SDM will strive to build on the substantial amount of work carried out in previous years thanks to KSU. We will present a campaign that targets students aspirations specifically with the scope of strengthening any ideas they may wish to put forward.” – Gabriel Micallef, SDM President.
Titled The Next Step, the SDM campaign is centered around 90 proposals; proposals which range from clean-ups, blood-drive, rain shelters, new facilities, arts festivals and new park and ride initiatives, among many others.
